As 2023 ends, I want to take a moment to celebrate the remarkable achievements we’ve accomplished together at Central Kentucky Community Action Council (CKCAC). This year has been one of growth, support, and meaningful impact, and I’m excited to share some highlights with you.

1. Senior Transportation: Empowering Independence

Our Senior Transportation program has had an outstanding year, ensuring that our senior community members have the mobility they need to lead independent lives. Special thanks to our dedicated drivers and volunteers who have made it possible for seniors in Central Kentucky to access essential services and stay connected to their community.

2. Senior Programming: Nourishing Lives and Building Connections

The Senior Congregate Meals program has been a beacon of support for our seniors, providing not just nutritious meals but also fostering a sense of community. Your involvement has been instrumental in combating senior hunger and isolation, making a significant impact on the lives of those we serve. Our other Senior programs, Senior Companion & Retired Seniors Volunteer Program, continues to reach those in the community with the helping hand of hope.

3. Head Start Program: Growing Young Minds for a Bright Future

Our Head Start program continues to expand, creating a positive influence on the youngest members of our community. By offering quality early childhood education and comprehensive services, we are laying the groundwork for a promising future. Thank you to everyone involved in making the Head Start program a success.

4. Community Service: Extending a Helping Hand to Families

This year, our commitment to community service has been unwavering. Together, we have worked to support and uplift families facing challenges. Whether through outreach programs, resource distribution, or collaborative initiatives, your dedication to community service has made a significant difference in the lives of many.  Our Weatherization Program or one of our Family programs, helping others remains the theme.

5. A Grateful Note to the CKCAC Board of Directors

I extend my heartfelt thanks to the CKCAC Board of Directors for their support throughout the year. Your guidance and commitment have been crucial to the success of our programs, and I am truly grateful for your dedication to our communities.

As we approach the holiday season, let’s carry the spirit of compassion and community into the coming year. Your support has been the driving force behind CKCAC’s accomplishments, and I am confident that together, we will continue to make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.

Wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

More to come…………. much more.
