The summer heat is upon us and CKCAC is working hard. We are waiting for the Cabinet for Healthy and Family Services to approve a Summer LIHEAP Cooling Program. Our hope is that it will begin in Early August, but it has not been announced as of this writing. Please be on the lookout for more communication and make sure anybody who needs help with utility bills contacts their local CSBG offices during this time!

We are excited to announce that the Radcliff Head Start repairs are completed and well ahead of schedule. Be on the lookout for a grand reopening event in August to celebrate getting like back to normal. Thank you to Goff Construction and Landon Goff for diligently completing these repairs quickly and with great attention to detail.

Also, CKCAC owes an incredible debt to Hardin County Schools, including Ms. Teresa Morgan, Superintendent, and Mr. Dan Mahon, Radcliff Elementary Principal, and the Radcliff Elementary team. Thank you so much for being incredibly gracious hosts over these past few months. Your partnership and support is a testament to your commitment to our children and our community. Thank you so much!

As you are likely aware, SpringHaven Domestic Violence shelter has had its funding from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services cut through its partner, ZeroV. While we believe that SpringHaven has secured a new partnership to be able to continue operation, CKCAC is monitoring the situation closely. We look forward to working with ZeroV, LTADD, and SpringHaven as we move forward in support of domestic violence survivors.

As always, thank you for all you do.
